Proyecto Uno

First screenprinted t-shirt for the Bandida series. This one is a tribute, revival and respect for the creators of the merengue-house genre: Proyecto Uno. The picture shows Rick Echavarría and Nelson Zapata, the founders of the band in an image used to promote their first gigs. Proyecto Uno was something unique, the idea came from Nelson to make merengue out of computers and there’s when he gatheres with Rick who has a house-music producer. The band was created in New York but both of the founding members are originally from República Dominicana.
