The Brief
Carmen Ansio is a freelance UX engineer who designs, builds and teaches web development. She shares what she knows through courses, talks and resources, on a personal platform that needed to grow as fast as she does. The brief was an identity that could stretch across very different formats, from a course thumbnail to a conference poster, while still feeling like one person: technical, generous and a little cosmic.
About the Result
The concept is expansion. A corner mark that opens outward became the logo, and the same gesture drives the whole system: circles that multiply into patterns, a bold extended typeface repeated at growing and shrinking scales until it breaks the frame, and a palette named after the cosmos (Dark Matter, Star White, Cosmic Red, Purple Haze). Carmen’s love of space stayed in the details rather than in literal planets: orbits in the navigation, atmosphere in the gradients. The system now runs across her site, YouTube, Instagram, posters and merchandise.
